So excited! Things are starting to fall together for NEW props and new design opportunities. I think this will actually be a "Win-Win" in 2 ways. Last year I had several "trips" on my CGFI's. These came off the tomato plant cage "Mini Trees". ...

In keeping with the same setup design for the mini trees, I am going to use the "spokes" just like in the first picture for my "extension cords" out to the mini trees. However I am going to use the RGB nodes on pvc pipe. Not sure yet if I will use white, black, gray or what. Either way I know they will be very bright and be a little more forgiving than the incandescent mini lights. I was LUCKY last year to not have strings burn out nor really have any of the mini trees go half out. REALLY LUCKY!
Design Change On Spokes or Grid
I really like the grid that I have used for several years now. The yard just lends it to that. This year though, I am going to add in the 5, 4ft white trees in the center leading up to where they join or junction together (wish I had drawn this out...will later). Kind of as another row of trees. I am using this type of tree with the RGB nodes; (http://www.holidaycoro.com/product-p/384.htm)
It will be a row of 16 2ft trees...go a few feet...then a row of the 5,4ft....then they all come together into a single 6ft white one. This whole design may change...but that is what I am thinking now. I might not do my "Twig Trees" or "Holdman Trees".
Found a controller that works with my arches;
So it says it will work with the 9813 chip. Well, my "Flex Tech" strips are 9816 chips. It works. This little thing (either in the metal case or out) will fit in a 2" pvc pipe with ends. Will water proof it great. Only thing is it has to go on Universe ONE and will only handle ONE Universe. Haven't figured out how to make this go on a 2nd Universe (dmx talk ;-) and probably won't. This will handle my 4 arch, 108 pixels per...just fine. I will use the little power supply with each arch for power and will use...maybe even a walwart to power the dmx controller.
